Description
An ancient appellation dating back to Medicean times, Carmignano is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, A fusion of gentleness and strength. This wine matures in new and 2nd passage French oak barrels for 15 months and in bottle for a minimum of 12 months. Well worth a try!
Sensory analysis
A ruby red color to garnet. On the nose, small red fruits such as raspberry, red currant and cherry on an undertone of tertiary aromas such as vanilla and spices coming from wood-aging. On the palate, it’s structured and elegant with velvety tannins and a lingering finish.
I’Garage recommends
Excellent with barbecue dishes, wild game and medium mature/ripened cheeses.
